The main entrance to the building is located at Mickiewicz Avenue 30. There are stairs (7 steps) at the entrance. This entrance is not accessible for wheelchair users.
For wheelchair users, an adapted entrance has been provided at the rear of the building on the northern courtyard side, where an elevator is located. Intercoms are installed at the entrance and exit of the courtyard for contacting the porter's lodge when the gate is closed. Persons with mobility disabilities cannot access the porter's lodge due to the lack of level communication between floor -1 and the porter's lodge (6 steps) and between floor 0 and the porter's lodge (16 steps).
Corridors in the building allow free movement - there are no level differences. Access to the entire basement level and parts of the lower ground floor is limited (northern and southern wings).
The stairs do not have special accessibility features, except for access to rooms 380-383, where a lift has been installed.
The building is equipped with 3 passenger elevators:
The elevators are equipped with voice announcements and Braille labels.
The building has two accessible toilets located on the first and third floors.
The AGH Main Auditorium is equipped with an FM hearing assistance system.
A parking space for persons with disabilities is located in the internal parking area on the side of the entrance (elevator) adapted for persons with disabilities.
The parking area is accessed from Reymonta Street 7 (Main Gate). Entry is controlled by a barrier with an intercom and service point. It is possible to apply for a card to open the barrier or request assistance from AGH Security staff.
Assistance dogs are allowed in AGH buildings.
If there is a need for a sign language interpreter on-site or online, please contact the AGH Accessibility Department. The information point is open from 10:00 to 14:00. The service is free of charge for deaf and hard-of-hearing persons.
